Include the title or catalog, rights position, source language, target market, approximate word count, and preferred timing. Vinicius reviews fit personally before any account, proposal, agreement, or payment step opens.

Before You Send
The standard localization path keeps publishing control with the rightsholder.
Use the direct email route to describe the project, not to transfer rights. Any rights license, royalty share, publishing role, term, format, territory, exclusivity, or reversion condition must be separately agreed in writing.
Do I transfer my rights to MAQUINE?
Not in a standard localization partnership. The rightsholder keeps publishing control. Any rights license, royalty share, or publishing role must be separately agreed in writing.
Can MAQUINE help if I want to publish the localized edition myself?
Yes. MAQUINE can deliver the localized package while you publish, distribute, price, advertise, and collect royalties through your own channels.
Can compensation include royalties?
Yes. Depending on the project, compensation may be structured as a fixed localization fee, a deferred fee, a royalty share, or a hybrid model.
Does MAQUINE publish every title it localizes?
No. Localization partnerships and MAQUINE-published editions are separate paths. A MAQUINE edition requires a separate written agreement.
Which languages does MAQUINE specialize in?
The current offer is limited to eight directions: English to Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese; Spanish to English or Brazilian Portuguese; Brazilian Portuguese to English; Italian to Brazilian Portuguese or English; and French to English.
Can MAQUINE help before a book fair?
Yes. MAQUINE can prepare rights sheets, sample translations, pitch copy, catalog entries, market notes, and follow-up materials for rights conversations.
